Our Endorsed Candidate for President, Barack Obama spoke directly with many of Ohio's Labor Leaders in a Conference call Hosted by Ohio AFL-CIO President Joe Rugola,  AFL-CIO Secretary - Treasurer Rich Trumpka, and Dave Caldwell, Chairman of the Ohio AFL-CIO Political Committee.

This week we have information on Ohio's Absentee Voting or "Vote By Mail" Program. Anyone can now use this very neat way to participate in our Electoral Process. Other items of interest are also in this issue.

IRON, Local 550 is very involved. From working to elect John Boceri to congress to supporting and working for Barack Obama to the Whitehouse, They are very engaged.

With Gasoline prices topping $4.00 a gallon and expected to head towards $5.00 a gallon later this year LABOR 2008 has held a series of protests at Gas stations and Refineries Offices all over OHIO. As Construction Workers that often have to travel great distances to our job sites we are all too aware of what this crisis is causing us.
